Capitol police removed a man from a suspicious vehicle in front of the Supreme Court building in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, after warning the public to avoid the area.
At around 9:51 a.m., police issued their first warning on Twitter, telling people to stay away from the Supreme Court along First Street NE.
Shortly after, police announced several road closures on First Street between Independence Avenue SE and Constitution Avenue NE; Second Street between East Capitol Street and Constitution Avenue NE; and East Capitol Street between First and Second Streets NE.
