India Fumes at Being Left Off UK COVID Travel List, Imposes New Guidelines for Brits

India was angered at being left off the U.K.’s COVID-19 travel list, which eases quarantine and testing requirements for fully vaccinated travelers from certain countries, and imposed new guidelines for U.K. citizens visiting India.

On Monday, the U.K.’s government eased the travel restrictions on more than 50 countries but excluded many from the developing world.

The New Delhi government on Friday imposed reciprocal restrictions on travelers from Britain to India, requiring British citizens to undergo COVID-19 testing and quarantine for 10 days, similar to the restrictions placed on Indian residents visiting the U.K.
