New Avengers: Infinity War behind-the-scenes set images reveal an alternate look at the filming of Iron Man’s battle in New York in the 2018 film.
New Avengers: Infinity War set images offer an alternate look at Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) fighting off Thanos’ goons, Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian, in New York. It’s been more than two years since the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed flick hit theaters. However, the film remains as relevant as ever despite the Infinity Saga wrapping up, thanks to multiple appearances of the Infinity Stones and the Mad Titan in various MCU Phase 4 projects.
Marvel Studios initially wanted Infinity War to be the first half of a two-part finale. However, as they developed its story, the Russos separated it from Avengers: Endgame, since the films were considered two complete narratives. Despite that, the film did set up most of what went down in its sequel. It not only introduced Thanos, but also established his genocidal motivations. Infinity War also brought together different pockets of the wider universe, with the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and all other heroes coming together to face a common enemy. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. In the end, they still lost, resulting in the decimation of half of life in the universe.
