No Time to Die is projected to hit a $112.9 million opening weekend in international markets, making it the best opening of the pandemic.
No Time to Die is set to break a pandemic box office record with a $100 million opening weekend. The film, which is Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing in the role and the 25th Bond film overall, has had its release date batted around by the pandemic, and has finally been released in international markets with a domestic release coming on October 8. The film was directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and also stars Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and Jeffrey Wright. On top of everything, No Time to Die has already been certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
No Time to Die sees Bond retired and trying to lay low in Jamaica. However, he’s dragged back into his life as an international superspy when CIA agent Felix Leiter enlists him to rescue a kidnapped scientist. This leads him to discover a mysterious villain harnessing a dangerous new technology who must be stopped at all costs. This adventure is also ties together stories from all the films in the Daniel Craig Bond era starting with 2006’s Casino Royale.
