Police investigate man’s fall from Journal Square high-rise

Jersey City police are investigating after a man plunged from a Journal Square high-rise office building this morning.

The incident occurred at 26 Journal Square (at Sip Avenue and Enos Place) at approximately 10:30 a.m. Police initially believed that the man may have jumped or fallen from 15 stories, but later said that he went out a window on the ninth floor. The victim landed on a vehicle on the Enos Place side of the building.

Police have shut down roads in the area, which includes the Journal Square PATH Station and Hudson County Community College, as well as the State Building at Sip and Summit avenues.
