Speaking about the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter announcement, director and series creator Masahiro Sakurai asks that everyone watch the character’s reveal – even non-players. The last Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character’s reveal is scheduled for October 5 at 7 AM PT/10 AM ET, and Sakurai will reveal the fighter’s moveset and accompanying stage during the presentation. The Fighters Pass characters so far have hailed from a variety of franchises, ranging from Final Fantasy VII villain Sephiroth to Banjo-Kazooie of retro Nintendo platformer fame.
The last addition to the Super Smash Bro. Ultimate roster could be anyone, though some leakers suggest they’ve closed in on the final DLC character. Following the announcement of the upcoming fighter reveal, one leaker cites alleged Nintendo and Disney Music licensing talks in claiming the final Smash Bros. fighter will be Kingdom Hearts‘ Sora. While that prospect remains unconfirmed, some players are still holding out for other highly requested characters like Geno, Master Chief, Crash Bandicoot, Waluigi, and others.
