A new Succession season 3 clip shows Cousin Greg trying to hedge his bets after Kendall’s explosive press conference. The satirical HBO series from creator Jesse Armstrong began in 2018 and has garnered significant critical acclaim, quickly becoming one of the prestigious network’s chief awards contenders. After filming was initially delayed due to the pandemic, the much-anticipated season 3 opener will premiere October 17.
Succession follows the fictional Roy family, the billionaire owners of the media conglomerate Waystar RoyCo, as they attempt to settle who will follow their ailing but domineering patriarch, Logan Roy (Brian Cox), as the head of the company. Armstrong’s show walks a fine line between comedy and drama and offers no shortage of surprises, including the bombshell that closed out season 2. Kendall (Jeremy Strong), the son who was originally set up to take over Waystar in the pilot before Logan changed his mind, suddenly turns on his father at a press conference by claiming that he knew of their company’s illegal conduct, setting up a battle that will only further divide the Roy clan.
